McCarthy & Stone is tackling loneliness among older people with the launch of its first over-60s Pen Pals programme.

Dear Pen Pal

At McCarthy & Stone we are always thinking of new ways to reduce the amount of loneliness older people feel, AND we want to embrace the joy of sending letters again.

With our latest Pen Pals programme we hope to help retirees form long-lasting friendships from afar.

An outlet to connect over-60s with other like-minded over-60s in communities by the writing and exchanging of letters.

Not everyone is able to get out and about easily and meet new people, to go for a walk or visit family members, and we know it’s often these people who can feel the most lonely and in need of a companion.

Please join us on our quest to enrich the quality of life of older people in our communities, and make a difference today!
