How Part Exchange Can Improve Your Quality Of Life

Move into a beautiful retirement development with Part Exchange!

With a welcoming House Manager looking after the daily running of the building, an apartment within one of our developments means you are able to live independently, but in a more manageable and comfortable way. And you won’t have those household maintenance worries any more.

As well as sorting out any upkeep issues, the House Manager is a friendly face who is always on hand during office hours to help organise the activities and social events that you choose to be a part of. They keep an eye on security, too.

Many of our homeowners find the safety and security that a McCarthy & Stone development offers very reassuring. Most of our developments have a camera-entry system with push-button intercom, so all access by visitors to the premises is controlled by you. And then there is also the comfort of access to a 24-hour emergency call centre.

The beauty of Part Exchange is that there is always support there, if you need it. A home in one of our developments also provides a great opportunity to make new friends. Many of our buyers find that the sense of community in our residences is one of the best things about moving in.

The homeowners’ lounge provides a friendly communal area for get-togethers and general socialising. And while you can enjoy meeting new people and the companionship of friends, there is also the privacy and quiet of your own home, always there as and when you want it. Because, of course, you still have your own front door.

Smiling Couple happy with their McCarthy & Stone apartment

Our retirement apartments are all in carefully selected settings. Some settings will leave you with some of the UK’s most beautiful areas on your doorstep. This enables you to try new hobbies and visit new places. Built in central locations, close to shops, cafés, restaurants and other amenities, McCarthy & Stone Retirement Living enables you to make the most of your downtime and stay independent, as well as giving you confidence in the future.

We know that family and friends often like to visit, so we have catered for them as well. All of our retirement homes have a hotel-style guest suite, with two single beds and a bathroom en suite, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities.

As the suites come ready with all the bed linen and towels, you don’t have the trouble of providing them for your guests; nor do you have to wash them afterwards or clean up the suite. Offering great value, suites are easy to book via the House Manager, though be warned – they are very popular!

Much of the enjoyment of living in a McCarthy & Stone home is the freedom it brings. Many of our homeowners who have made use our Part Exchange service talk about the huge sense of relief they feel when they finally move out of their house and into one of our apartments.

A McCarthy & Stone apartment, for many, quickly proves a welcome alternative to the isolation they had sometimes felt in their former home, especially if it was far from family and friends. The welcoming community within the development, plus the facility afforded by the visitors’ suites, provides the best of both worlds.

Couple Outdoors with an Autumnal background

You can say goodbye to the headache of maintaining a house that has become a burden and which you no longer need. For one thing, you won’t have the dread of unexpected bills. Like-for-like heating bills, for example, are very often lower. Our trusted Part Exchange service will ensure that you’re fully aware of your anticipated annual running costs before you buy, so you know exactly what to expect.

We pride ourselves on our up-to-date construction methods, too – and all our developments are designed with energy-efficiency in mind. And because of their more manageable size, the individual apartments are very cost-effective to run.  You won’t have any unpleasant surprises such as repair costs. You are simply free to enjoy your new home with confidence.

McCarthy & Stone developments are carefully designed with your needs in mind; we have included a few well-thought-through additions, such as kitchens with raised ovens (so you don’t have to bend down), mid-height wall sockets and bathrooms with slip-resistant floors.

Most of our developments have lovely outside spaces with lawns and flowerbeds, looked after by the managing agents, so you won’t have to struggle with an unwieldy garden. That said, there is often the opportunity for a little gardening if it’s something you want to do. Either way, the pleasant surroundings are yours to enjoy.

When you choose to Part Exchange for a McCarthy & Stone apartment, you are choosing a beautiful, comfortable home that offers convenience, community and confidence in the future.
