Blooming Marvellous: The Chelsea Flower Show
The World-Famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show
It's The Most Glamorous Day Out In The Gardening Calendar.
The grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea are once again blooming with flora as the Royal Horticultural Society prepares to welcome 157,000 spectators to their annual five-day flower festival in May.
Promising to be nothing less than a truly unique and unforgettable experience, the exquisite RHS Chelsea Flower Show will bring plants to London from every corner of the globe in cutting-edge garden design and inspiring landscapes.
With a plant-packed pavilion and Show Gardens galore waiting to be admired, this years designers will explore the positive powers of plants on human health and the planet, such as climate change and the fragility of the ecosystem.
Opening Tuesday 21st May until Saturday 25th May, there is sure to be a spring in your step whether you’re attending the event or planning to adore from the comfort of your home. Broadcasted across the BBC, you can enjoy backstage interviews and join the panel of experts as they explore the 2019 gardens.
Be Inspired by The Gardens...
Top gardeners and florists are set to stun audiences with their innovative displays that celebrate the connection between plants to people, places and the planet as they compete for the coveted awards.
Gardens include a therapeutic space by Kate Gould supported by Greenfingers Charity, a Japanese herbal inspired creation by Kazuto Kashiwakura and Miko Sato which will feature plants carefully selected for their health-giving qualities, and an urban jungle by Chelsea first timer Andrew Duff who will focus on sustainability.
Visitors can this year enjoy the RHS Back to Nature Garden co-designed by HRH The Duchess of Cambridge and award-winning landscape architects Andree Davies and Adam White.
Carefully crafted in a woodland setting with people and wildlife in mind, it’s a space for families and communities to come together and connect with nature. It includes a beautiful hollow log for children to climb through, a den, waterfall, stream and treehouse, and the calming palettes of greens and blues create a relaxed haven.
Nestled in a peaceful corner of the show, acclaimed chef Raymond Blanc will be enchanting guests with memorable dining experiences, Jardin Blanc. His menu includes full day feasts, evening events and champagne afternoon teas.
Guests are invited to unwind and watch the sun set over the gardens with a refreshing glass of bubbles and gourmet canapés, enjoy an evening of food, music and flowers at his event ‘La Tulip’ or indulge in a fabulous four- course dinner. During the day, his team are hosting a three-course lunch and exclusive cookery demonstrations, as well as spoiling guests with tea and cake.
