The Christmas Wine list. Part three: The grand finale.

Best for strong cheeses
We recommend: The Best Amarone. Hand-picked grapes are dried for at least 3 months and the wine is aged in large oak barrels for 24 months and in bottle for 12 months before release. It's rich and intense, with flavours of black cherry and vanilla and it’s perfect with strong cheeses and wintry casseroles. A GOLD medal winner in the International Wine and Spirits competition this year.
Price: £16 down to £14 until 2/1/21

Best Christmas Port
Price: £12 down to £11 until 2/1/21

Best with pud
Price: £6.25 for 37.5 cl down to £5.50 until 2/1/21
An alternative, indulgent and very simple Christmas pud recipe
Take a dessert spoon of marmalade, place in a bowl and microwave for no more than 10 seconds just to warm it gently (too long and it will start to boil). Place a generous blob of vanilla ice cream over the marmalade so that it just starts to melt into the warm orangey loveliness.
Drizzle a little chilled Pedro Ximenez over the top. Enjoy!
