Member of Parliament to Officially Open New Retirement Development in Salisbury17/08/2020

The UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities, McCarthy Stone, is preparing to welcome the Economic Secretary to the Treasury, John Glen MP, to officially open its Castle Gate Retirement Living development in Salisbury on Friday 4th September.

John Glen MP was first elected to Parliament as the Conservative MP for Salisbury in 2010 and was then appointed as the Economic Secretary to the Treasury in January 2018. To mark the official opening of Castle Gate, John Glen MP, will join McCarthy Stone CEO, John Tonkiss, for a tour of the new Retirement Living development before meeting the first residents.

 

John Glen MP commented: “I’m very much looking forward to visiting Castle Gate. I’m really keen to see what the completed development looks like and to meet some of the retirees who will be calling it their home – it is set to be a great day.”

The Castle Gate Retirement Living development is situated on Endless Street. It is adjacent to McCarthy Stone’s Monument Place Retirement Living Plus development which is currently under construction.  Representing two options to suit different needs and stages of retirement, Castle Gate has been designed for retirees aged 60 and over, while Monument Place has been exclusively designed for those aged 70 and over.

Castle Gate and Monument Place developments have reopened for appointment only viewings. With safety being the company’s number one priority, the Sales Consultant at the developments will advise visitors on specific practices and additional precautions which have been introduced, such as temperature checks on arrival. Virtual tours are also being made available to help potential purchasers find out more about Castle Gate and Monument Place before arranging a visit.
