My husband’s health had deteriorated, that was one of the main reasons for moving, we located the nearest McCarthy and Stone development and liked what we saw and heard from our friends who live there about how good the building was.

One thing that we did do with McCarthy and Stone was to take up their part exchange offer, so that we didn’t have the worry of selling our house and we were able to move in very quickly and it worked very well for us.

The lounge area is so well used here, we had a choir here last week, we have parties, whether it’s jewellery, hand bag parties sales, there is such a lot happening and we get together a lot, anything you want to join in, you can and if you don’t you don’t need to, we are a very active group.

Our House Manager is wonderful, not just a House Manager but a friend to all, she’s always there for everyone and if you’ve any worries and any problems she’s always there for you and that gives you peace of mind; but also the security of the building, because nobody can get into the building unless one of the residents allows them to come in.

I have friends and family visit on a regular basis and because I only have a one bedroom apartment they stay in the guest suite and they are very very happy to do so. It works very well and I feel quite sure that at the end of the day they wish they could change places with me.
