I heard about McCarthy and Stone through my sister in-law, she was passing here one day, came in to have a look at the showroom and decided it was just the thing for me, owning your own apartment is part of your independence, isn’t it.

I’ve always owned the house we’ve lived in so it’s no different now. I took advantage of the offer where they sold my house for me, moved me down here and everything else, so I just sat back and let them do it.

Assisted Living to me, especially the restaurant, is the ideal thing because cooking for one, is no joke. The staff are very good here too, you know you can call on them any time, when I moved down here they were very good to me in the first place because they showed me everything I needed to know and they were quite happy to explain everything, I enjoy going down to the lounge and talking to anybodywho is there. The laundry room as far as I am concerned is excellent, the garden is very nice in the summer.

When moving down here, from a bigger place I’ve got more independence to do what I want to do and it’s a nice feeling thinking that you’ve just got one or two rooms on the flat that you can just go from one to the other. It gives you more security. When I first came down here everybody wondered what I was coming to, but since then and they have been down to see me, it’s like a five star hotel coming in.
