On Site Personal Care and Domestic Assistance team Flexible packages of care and support are an important feature of Tailored Care Living. Prior to a move we will assess individual requirements that will help us tailor a package of support specifically for them, meaning people only pay for the services they require. From day one you can therefore be confident that residents’ individual personal care needs are met by the ‘care team’ on site. A Tailored Care Living development also offers, from on-site support staff all the domestic assistance needed to help cope with daily household chores, like cleaning, washing, ironing, shopping and so on. Each week one hour of domestic assistance is automatically provided to each apartment as part of the service charge but extra time can be added or removed on a temporary or permanent basis as needed. Resident’s are free to choose support services which best suit their needs. Care and support packages embrace a wide range of services although it is not suitable for people who require residential nursing care. For example it can include: being accompanied on shopping trips or to social events; help with domestic chores; medication prompting; night-waking; washing and bathing and so on.  Well-being Suite Making life easier and more enjoyable is fundamental to our approach to Tailored Care Living. The Well-being Suite for example will be able to provide facilities to have your hair done or have your nails manicured. Therapy services such as chiropody or perhaps a massage for those looking for a pleasant, nurturing way to help soothe away those aches and pains, can also be arranged. The Spa Bath, with all its associated benefits, can also be utilised as part of the Well-being Suite. Waitress Service Restaurant Every day of the year a 3 course midday meal, which includes locally sourced fresh ingredients, is available at modest cost in the waitress service restaurant; breakfast, a cold supper and snacks can also be purchased. In the event of illness, meals can even be taken to the resident's apartment.  Residents’ Lounge Morning and afternoon tea are available in the residents’ lounge which is also the setting for numerous activities which helps to encourage companionship and friendship. Activities are positively encouraged and suggestions, interests and ideas wherever practicable will be included in the activities plan. But the choice to participate or not is yours. Function Room Available for private functions such as a birthday party celebration, or simply used as an extension to the residents' lounge. Hobby/Reading Room In the hobby/reading room, there are art and craft facilities, puzzles and games – this could be the perfect opportunity to rediscover a past interest. Alternatively, it provides a space for quiet times during the day to enjoy books, magazines and the daily papers. A computer is available for residents use so they will be able to surf the net or stay in contact with family and friends by email and Skype. Help is on hand, if needed, so this could be a chance to try something new.  Laundry Room A separate laundry room complete with washing machines, tumble dryers all placed at a convenient height but of course you can decide to have your laundry managed by one of the staff, at a modest cost. Guest Suite Visitors are more than welcome and for residents needing a little extra help in putting people up, the Guest Suite with ensuite facilities can be booked at modest cost just like a quality hotel.  Internet Facility A computer facility is available for residents use. Mobility Scooter Store For those with a mobility scooter there is plenty of space in most apartment hallways to store and charge them, in addition to a communal mobility scooter store on the ground floor. Lift to all Floors With Tailored Care Living there is no need to struggle up stairs anymore. |
