The rural market town of Wellington in Somerset is 7 miles west of Taunton, and situated between the Blackdown Hills and the River Tone.  Dating back to the Doomsday Book, the town is best known for its association with the Duke of Wellington, the famous "Iron Duke" victor of the battle of Waterloo, and the 175-foot monument erected in his honour.  

Wellington is well served by transport links, being near to Junction 26 of the M5 and therefore within easy reach of Appledore, Cullompton, Tiverton, Bristol and Exeter.  The nearest railway station is in nearby Taunton, which is served by a regular bus service from the High Street.  Transport is also available to and from the neighbouring towns and villages of Ilminster, Chard and Honiton. 

Situated in the Bulford area, these retirement flats will enjoy a prominent position close to the High Street, library and museum. The town has plenty of specialist shops as well as three supermarkets and a farmers market every fortnight.   

The Wellington development is currently subject to planning permission, but it is our hope to construct independent living retirement flats for the over 60's. 

The retirement apartments will be managed by a house manager who will oversee the running of the building including maintenance of the grounds and building. Key retirement living related features of the development will include a communal residents' lounge, a guest suite, laundry room and a lift that will provide access to all floors.
