Vernon Court is an exciting new development from McCarthy and Stone, Britain's leading retirement builder. The development takes its name from the nearby Vernon Park.  This is Stockport's oldest public park dating back to the Victorian era when the land was donated to Stockport Corporation by George John Warren, the then Lord Vernon.

The Park provides unique areas for traditional pastimes such as crown green bowls in conjunction with beautifully restored areas of formal and informal parkland and is one of three parks, the other two being Woodbank Memorial Park and Woodlands Park, that follow the path of the Goyt River which runs at  the back of the development towards Marple.
