Situated just over a mile from Swansea city centre, Uplands is often thought of as one of the city's nicest suburbs.  There are a range of locally run shops in Uplands and also in its neighbouring suburb of Sketty, while the city centre offers a large selection of household high street names.  Swansea and the surrounding area also offer beautiful Welsh coastline such as Swansea Bay and the popular Victorian seaside resort of Mumbles.
