One and Two bedroom Assisted Living Retirement apartments planned for Southport.

Southport is a vibrant town with excellent attractions such as the Royal Birkdale Golf Course, while Lord Street is a long, wide, landscaped boulevard and a shopping destination for the region.  To the south is Birkdale and Churchtown to the north, both very desirable areas with values that reflect this. However, while Birkdale has very few shops, Churchtown has a ‘village feel’ to it with an historic centre, church and individual shops. The proposed site is on the main road between Southport town centre and Churchtown. Southport Town Centre has a comprehensive range of shopping facilities including exclusive boutiques, high street stores and a number of covered shopping areas. There are a number of local shopping areas within easy level walk of the site. 

The town contains some outstanding examples of Victorian architecture and town planning especially in and around Lord Street. The town enjoys significant public open spaces -  Hesketh Park is not far from  the proposed site and is well laid out and maintained, with its own café.  The Botanical Gardens, just outside Churchtown are another significant attraction of the locality.

Planning permission has now been achieved.  Construction is expected to start in December 2012, with first occupations in March 2014.
