Planning has been approved to build 62 one and two bedroom Assisted Living retirement apartments.  Construction is anticipated to begin in January 2013 with sales release expected August 2013. First occupations are expected to take place in April 2014.

Our new Assisted Living development is located on Bury New Road, Prestwich. Some 4 miles north of Manchester City centre, the area is highly regarded benefiting from its proximity to Prestwich Park, Sedgley Park, Broughton Park and Whitefield.

Prestwich has excellent public transport facilities with a plentiful supply of regular local bus services operating throughout the area, and a Metrolink stop situated in the town centre. The town also benefits from an array of civic amenities such as attractive municipal parks within easy walking distance of our proposed development. 

Prestwich is well served by a new shopping precinct with a full range of everyday shopping facilities which also includes a new library and adjoining Marks & Spencer foodstore.

Our new Assisted Living development bridges the gap between one of our conventional retirement living developments and a residential or nursing home.  Whilst Assisted Living will never be a substitute for a nursing home the additional features and facilities offered can help postpone the need to ever consider residential care and most importantly with McCarthy & Stone Assisted Living, you continue to retain your independence and own your own home.  

Key features include a residents' lounge, laundry room, waitress service restaurant (in the event of illness arrangements can be made to take meals to a residents flat), function room, guest suite and lifts that give access to all floors.
