New Assisted Living retirement apartments are planned for sale in Porthcawl, South Wales

Porthcawl is located in Mid Glamorgan, South Wales, on the coast and not far from Bridgend, Swansea, Cardiff, Maesteg and Port Talbot.  Porthcawl is a classic seaside town, boasting award winning blue flag sandy beaches and a seaside promenade.  The assisted living retirement homes will be located adjacent to the Seabanks Hotel on Green Avenue, within walking distance of the promenade which offers panoramic views of the Welsh coastline.

The assisted living retirement apartments will be ideally located for Porthcawl’s town centre, shops and amenities, including the Grand Pavilion. Built in 1932, The Grand Pavilion, with its octagonal dome and striking frontage has dominated the Porthcawl seafront for 70 years. Renowned as the premier Dance Hall of its day, the Pavilion now hosts a variety of events from tea dances, concerts and pantomime to weddings and conferences.

To the northern end of Porthcawl is Kenfig National Nature Reserve, a site of special scientific interest, and one of the most important in Britain for nature conservation. The reserve is home to unique wild orchids, as well as insects and wildlife, and Glamorgan’s largest natural lake, Kenfig Pool.

An Estates Manager will oversee the running of this Assisted Living retirement development in Porthcawl, and staff will be on site 24 hours a day. Key assisted living related features will include a residents' lounge, laundry room, waitress service restaurant (or in the event of illness meals can be taken to a residents flat), function room and lifts that give access to all floors. One hour of domestic assistance is available each week and further assistance can be tailored to individual needs. The Assisted Living flats are designed to enable wheelchair users to live independently.
