Watford town centre and the Harlequin shopping centre are within a mile of Nanterre Court and offer some excellent facilities.  The town centre is also home to the Watford Palace Theatre, which is the only producing theatre in Hertfordshire.  Also nearby is Cassiobury Park, which was formed from the grounds of Cassiobury House and consists of 190 acres of open space.
