Forres is 5 miles from Findhorn, the latter famous for its Foundation Community Eco Village, organic gardens, pottery and health shop.  Forres has an 18 hole golf course; a swimming pool and is only 20 minutes from the sea.  Its remote coastline offers plenty of opportunities for seal, osprey and cormorant sightings, along with lots of coastal trails for walking and fishing.  With caravan sites; plenty of castles and National Trust for Scotland sites in the surrounding area, there is a wide variety of activities to suit all tastes.
