New Assisted Living retirement apartments are planned for sale in Cults, Aberdeen

McCarthy & Stone pioneered the concept of private purpose built retirement housing in the UK over 30 years ago. An Assisted Living retirement development bridges the gap between more conventional retirement living and residential care or a nursing home, by offering a range of additional features designed to help residents retain their independence and importantly, for those in retirement, home ownership.

This new assisted living retirement development is situated in the heart of Cults, a small town on the outskirts of Aberdeen.  The site itself is located on North Deeside Road, which runs through the centre of Cults and is home to a host of local shops, including a supermarket, post office, bank, hairdresser and newsagent.

Located on the A93, Cults is well placed for travel to Aberdeen and beyond, as well as through the beautiful scenery of Royal Deeside.  Residents at the site will benefit from local public transport links, as the assisted living retirement homes will be situated on the main bus route to Aberdeen.  Rail links throughout Scotland can be accessed from Aberdeen railway station, located approximately 4 miles away in the city centre, allowing access to surrounding towns such as Peterculter, Banchory and Stonehaven.  A wide range of leisure facilities can be found both in the local area and in the city centre, including a tennis club and a bowling club, with Deeside Golf Club just a short journey away.

This will be McCarthy & Stone's second retirement development in Cults, following Kirk Manor Court, which sold out in just one day in March 2007.  We have now secured planning permission for the Cults development, which will consist of 53 one and two bedroom assisted living retirement apartments.

The perfect environment for those in retirement, homes in our assisted living retirement development will each contain a bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom containing both a bath and separate level access shower.
