 Chelmsford has been the county town of Essex since the early 13^th century and has a long and proud history to be explored.  As well as a 15^th century cathedral, there is plenty to choose from if you like to visit historic buildings and beautiful gardens.  If shopping is more your thing the pedestrianised high street and town centre provides a pleasant, traffic free shopping environment.

Chelmsford is well served with transport facilities including a mainline railway station offering journeys between London and Ipswich or Norwich.  There are also numerous local buses serving and range of destinations.
