Craigiebuckler is a residential suburb situated approximately 2 miles to the west of Aberdeen City Centre. The site itself is located on the junction of Springfield Road and Craigieburn Park, adjacent to the Hilton Treetops Hotel.

The proposed development will consist of 44 one & two bedroom retirement apartments and will be well catered for in terms of local shops, amenities and public transport. There is a small convenience store just 150 yards away and several other local shops, including a supermarket, post office, hairdressers, cake shop and video store, are just 0.3 miles away. The local health centre and library can also be found in this area, while the adjacent hotel offers a swimming pool and gym facility.

Aberdeen is Scotland’s 3^rd largest city in terms of population, and is widely considered to be one of the wealthiest areas of Scotland due to its status as the oil capital of Europe. The city also benefits from its own sandy beach, popular with locals and tourists alike.

Transport links to and from Aberdeen are excellent. Aberdeen railway station connects with all the major cities, including Glasgow, Edinburgh and London, as well as serving local routes. Aberdeen Airport, located in Dyce, approximately 7 miles from the city centre, serves many domestic and international destinations. Bus & coach services are regular to both local and national destinations, with Aberdeen bus station as the hub. The city is also served by excellent road links, with 6 major roads in and out of the city.
