Royal British Legion announced as charity of the Year 

The Royal British Legion will be McCarthy & Stone’s Charity of the Year from April 2010. McCarthy & Stone has pledged to raise £30,000 during the year.

The Royal British Legion, in their 90th anniversary year, is one of the UK’s leading military charities. They provide financial, social and emotional support to service people past and present and their families. During the year, the Royal British Legion will spend more than £72 million providing support.

Fundraising Total £43,000

McCarthy & Stone has run numerous events at it's offices and its many retirement developments located across the country which have included the 65th anniversary of Victory in Europe, 90th anniversary celebrations and the Poppy Appeal and Festival of Remembrance in November. Our target has been exceeded with the final fundraising figure of £43,000. We will continue to hold many new fundraising events at your local development if you would like to attend the locations can be found by using the property search by clicking here.
