Marie Curie Fundraising 

Following a raft of fundraising activity held at offices and retirement developments across the country we are excited to report that a staggering total of £48,372.63 has been raised in the year smashing the original target of £30,000. This amount will enable Marie Curie to provide more than 2,400 hours of care to terminally ill patients in their own homes.

This fantastic amount has been raised via a host of activities including 'Sing Out for Marie Curie Cancer Care', daffodil planting in the 'Fields of Hope', running, cycling, hiking, sponge throwing, tea parties, quizzes, cake sales and even sky diving. Marie Curie announced as Charity of the Year

McCarthy & Stone announced Marie Curie Cancer Care as it's charity of the Year in March 2009. By entering into the partnership, McCarthy & Stone has pledged to raise £30,000 during the year. Marie Curie will use the money raised to provide terminally ill patients with nursing care in the comfort of their own home enabling people to spend their final days within familiar surroundings. Events and activities will be taking place across McCarthy & Stone's offices and at it's many retirement developments located throughout the country.
