McCarthy & Stone, the UK market leader in retirement living, has been awarded five stars for customer satisfaction for the fifth year running in an independent survey by the Home Builders Federation (HBF). The company is the only retirement builder to be awarded this accolade and the only housebuilder to have won it for five consecutive years.

The Royal British Legion will be McCarthy & Stone’s Charity of the Year from April 2010. McCarthy & Stone has pledged to raise £30,000 during the year.

McCarthy & Stone is “going into overdrive” to find 60 sites for new developments after a painful year of downsizing during the recession. Britain’s largest retirement builder aims to secure sites at the rate of over one a week over the next year – a “highly ambitious” target, says Land and Planning Director Gary Day.
