My father moved into McCarthy & Stone Assisted Living when he
was 81, after 45 years in his previous home. Six months and one
birthday later, we could not have wished for a better outcome.
Aside from lower running costs - something which would appeal to any
Yorkshireman - life is much easier in his new flat. Everything is on one
level, the flat is very cosy and he knows he needn't worry about
maintenence or security. As a result his quality of life, and likewise
his self esteem, have improved.
